Wings of Hope

| The values and traits we all hold dear to our heart: love, kindness, empathy, trust, strength have bound us together in this special quilt. Our own vulnerabilities help us to connect with each other and to understand what is important to others, to ourselves and to our environment. Together our efforts are strong like The Wind and this strength holds close our perseverance to support and empower other individuals in times of need as well as holding dear the habitat that nourishes all life on this planet. We pay special tribute to butterfly habitats and flower gardens which continue to support an important cycle of life. |

"The Wind"
The wind is strong and fearless,
Of nothing it's afraid.
She sweeps by over hills and fields,
And finds a place to raid.
Leaves and papers fly in a whirl.
As she scatters them everywhere.
Then with a whistle and a roar,
Across the land she will tear.
She whistles and moans down the narrow chimneys.
Then again she sails up high.
She softly sighs as she passes the trees,
That stand so bleak and bare.
She scatters the clouds, when passing by,
Away up in the sky.
She has travelled over land and sea,
And oh! what secrets does she know,
If she would only whisper them to me--
But all she does is sigh and blow.
All these deeds are her duties,
Which she has to perform.

Wild Flowers
One could admire them for hours;
In the morning they are wet with dew.
The sunbeams kiss them lightly too.
But when darkness starts to creep,
They droop their heads and go to sleep.
