Wings of Hope

Letter of support from Dr. Chip Taylor of the Monarch Watch

Dear Board of Directors, Wings of Hope, Inc.:

The concept behind “Wings of Hope” is familiar to us at Monarch Watch. We receive numerous requests to provide butterflies for events that honor cancer survivors, others who have experienced  trauma and some that have passed on. Unfortunately, we haven’t had the financial resources to support many of these requests. Further, we generally don’t rear monarchs in quantity to the adult stage since our primary objective is to distribute small larvae to classrooms to match with curricular materials on monarchs and insects in general and therefore really can’t fulfill requests for adults.

I admire your efforts establish an organization that can meet the needs of those for whom the symbols of beauty and flight are uplifting. There are many who need this support and it is nice to know that you and your colleagues are doing what you can to aid those among us who are, mostly by chance, less fortunate than most of us.

Keep up the good work.

Sincerely,

Orley R. Taylor
